Searing summers, frozen winters, gentle spring rain, and brilliant autumn colours come to life in music. Alain Trudel and the NAC Orchestra explore Antonio Vivaldi’s vibrant Four Seasons, Astor Piazzolla’s energetic Argentinian Tango, and other climate-inspired music with the help of virtuoso guest artists.
Sheherezade had no laser vision or spider senses, but she was a superhero nonetheless, using her little grey cells to confound the forces of evil. Hers is the timeless story of The Thousand and One Nights. In it, she delays her execution at the hands of a cynical king, by telling him stories so wonderful and amazing that he keeps her alive to hear more. Cannily telling one story each night, she always ended at a cliffhanger moment and so lived to tell another tale! Come and discover the hidden superheroes of classical music. Costumes encouraged for concertgoers of all ages!
