Our Stories are Medicine
Indigenous Theatre welcomes you back to the NAC with an uplifting and inspiring season! Ignite your spirit with Indigenous artists from the four directions, across Turtle Island and around the world. We open our season with the matriarchal powerhouse Hot Brown Honey. Next, we travel north, first with Aalaapi, a co-presentation with Theatre français, and then, along with English Theatre, we share the wisdom of a polar bear caught in catastrophic climate change in The Breathing Hole. The spirit of a Mohawk community is revealed in Sky Dancers followed by a land claim fable, Little Red Warrior and His Lawyer leaves no one unscathed. Welcome back to theatre, we’ve missed you!
