Guests of the National Arts Centre Foundation celebrated Canada Day in style on the NAC Rooftop Terrace on July 1st. More than 400 individual donors and corporate sponsors enjoyed a spectacular Canada Day party where they were thanked for their tremendous support of the artistic and educational programs of the National Arts Centre over the past year by NAC Foundation CEO, Jayne Watson.
After a fantastic performance by Ottawa songstress Kellylee Evans in Southam Hall, NAC Foundation guests gathered on the rooftop for an upscale bbq (an oxymoron, we know) and drinks, sponsored by Mark Motors of Ottawa for a fourth consecutive year. And of course, there was more music. Local jazz and swing band, the Steve Berndt Quartet, entertained the crowd in a lead up to the main event of the night: the fireworks.
It is widely known that the National Arts Centre Rooftop Terrace provides an unrivalled view of the breathtaking firework show. National Arts Centre Foundation donors and sponsors were not disappointed; the sky lit up in a riot of colour, and was the perfect finale to a magnificent evening.
The National Arts Centre Foundation thanks its generous supporters. If you would like to be a catalyst for performance, creation, and learning please donate today.
