The Canada Room

A 1969 Prélude Magazine ad described the NAC’s first fine-dining restaurant, L’Opéra, as “Clearly the best in town, yet not that expensive”. Despite that glowing praise, the restaurant closed and was replaced by the popular Panorama Room, which hosted countless meetings and wedding receptions over the years.

The space is reborn this winter as the Canada Room, featuring outstanding views of the Rideau Canal and double the capacity of its previous incarnation (400 to 1,500 guests depending on the configuration). The flexible space can even be divided into three separate rooms. Welcome to an elegant addition to Ottawa’s social scene.
