Marianne Marceau is an actress, author and co-artistic and general director of Théâtre des Confettis. Before taking over the reins of the company founded by Hélène Blanchard and Judith Savard, Marianne was artistic director of the Festival du Jamais Lu Québec for 7 years. As a performer, she has taken part in over 35 theatrical productions. She has held the title roles in such classics as Les mains d'Edwige au moment de la naissance, Alice! and Christine, la reine-garçon. Her performances have earned her many awards and nominations, including the Prix Paul-Hébert and the Prix de l'AQCT, in the Female Performance of the Year category. A long-time partner of Théâtre des Confettis, she took part in the creation of Mécaniques Célestes by Claudie Gagnon, Lou dans la nuit by Maxime Robin, and the tour of Choses berçantes by Véronique Côté.
Maxime Robin is a playwright, director and comedian, educated at the Mel Oppenheim School of Cinema and the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Québec. Since the start of his artistic career in 2011, he has divided his time between cinema, theatre and storytelling. He is the founder of La Vierge folle, which puts on Les Contes à passer le temps each year. Maxime is captivated by the power of images and the imagination, and strives to create art that is accessible, fun and challenging and that helps us better understand one another as people. For Maxime, it’s all about enchanting the real.
