Now for the weather. If we take a look at the NAC for December 2024, there’s a risk of theatrical disturbances, alternating between fairytale showers and musical turbulence! This enchanting show takes a fresh look at a wonderful children’s book, as we plunge with the courageous Harold into the heart of a thunderstorm so we can get a good look at what’s really going on inside!  What causes thunder and lighting? Now for the weather. If we take a look at the NAC for December 2024, there’s a risk of theatrical disturbances, alternating between fairytale showers and musical turbulence! This enchanting show takes a fresh look at a wonderful children’s book, as we plunge with the courageous Harold into the heart of a thunderstorm so we can get a good look at what’s really going on inside!

What causes thunder and lighting? Maybe it’s a troupe of child musicians getting together in the sky, led by a wild-haired and hair-raising conductor, crafting quite an event of light and sound! That’s the premise of this play, which combines spectacular Baroque elements (painted decor, forced perspective, optical illusions) with the latest in set design trickery. This fresh magic sends us tumbling into the story to discover a whole range of notes and strong emotions. Get ready to hear the rumbling of the music of the sky and see the heavens in a whole new way.

This riotous chaos, more real than reality, is just a bit of theatre fun. But it’s also a way for you to take a look from the comfort of your seat at all the different colours and sounds of your own inner fits and gales. Just think! All this time, you thought that storms were just weather, when clearly, they’re also art!
