Steffi is thrilled to be back in the blonde reporting live for Rogers TV! She is a bilingual Dora Award nominated performer who has appeared on stages and screens for over 15 years. Steffi played Ilse in the 1st national tour of Spring Awakening, was a Top 5 finalist on Season 4 of Canadian Idol and performed Come From Away over 900 times in Toronto and on tour in the United States. She also co-hosted the online Mirvish talk show Check In From Away and appeared in over 45 TV shows, movies and commercials including Chucky, Transplant, Frankie Drake, The Umbrella Academy, Crawford and Murdoch Mysteries.

Irene Sankoff
Irene is an Olivier Award winning, Tony nominated writer, holding an MFA in Acting from the Actor's Studio Drama School as well as honorary doctorates from Memorial and Pace Universities. She has performed on stage and screen (including the 9/11 docu-drama, The Last Hour of Flight 11). With husband/writing partner, David Hein, Irene performed in and wrote the Fringe/Mirvish hit, My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding, earning Best Musical awards across America. Irene has developed projects for Disney, Netflix and Warner Bros, but is best known for Come From Away. Proud Canadians, CFA is the duo's second musical, the 50th longest running Broadway show, and is currently playing around the world. Thank you to the NAC and the T.O. company for welcoming me. Koh (she/her) is a multi-discipline artist born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, but currently based in Toronto. Formerly a dance educator in BC, she has been working extensively across Canada for the last ten years, primarily as a stage manager. Koh is also the Director of Operations for the Canadian Green Alliance, a not-for-profit dedicated to bridging the gap between theatre & sustainability. Jane Bunting (she/her) is an actor, movement director, educator, and intimacy choreographer who joined the global choreography team for Come From Away in 2022 after spending four years as the dance captain for the original North American tour. She currently serves as the assistant choreographer and intimacy coordinator for the current tour, and was the associate choreographer for the Tokyo company in early 2024. Onstage credits include: Come From Away (Broadway, North American tour, and Ford’s Theatre); Lost In The Stars (The Kennedy Center with Washington National Opera); Oliver! (Arena Stage); Jekyll & Hyde (Westchester Broadway Theatre); Les Miserables, Evita (Flat Rock Playhouse). Jane is a member of Intimacy Directors and Coordinators’ second-ever certification cohort, and she holds a Bachelors of Music in Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University.

Conceived this compelling story as a musical and is the producer of the new production of Come From Away performed each summer in Gander. In 2019 he was awarded the Meritorious Service Cross by the Governor General of Canada for his role in creating the show. In 2011 he established the Canadian Music Theatre Project, an international incubator for the development of new musicals, where over a decade he produced and developed the first workshops of Come From Away and 28 other musicals. Canada’s most prolific producer of new Canadian musicals, selected credits include, The Last Timbit, Maggie, and Grow. A proud graduate of Western Law.

Come From Away was originally co-produced in 2015 by La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle Repertory Theatre, and presented in 2016 by Ford’s Theatre in Washington, DC, and Mirvish Productions at the Royal Alexandra Theatre.
Come From Away was developed at the Canadian Music Theatre Project (Michael Rubinoff Producer, Sheridan College in Oakville, ON), and was further developed at Goodspeed Musicals’ Festival of New Artists, in East Haddam, CT. It was also part of the National Alliance of Musical Theatre’s Festival of New Musicals in New York 2013. The Canada Council for the Arts, The Ontario Arts Council, and the Fifth Avenue Theatre in Seattle, WA, also provided development support.
