  • For one night only, three extraordinary women artists come together to pay homage to Nature in a blended musical experience that bridges borders and transcends barriers.
  • Guest pianist and Easter Island native Mahani Teave makes her Ottawa debut to perform Manuel de Falla’s Nights in the Gardens of Spain, evoking the nocturnal beauty of Nature.
  • Acclaimed Hindustani violinist Kala Ramnath plays Concerto for Hindustani Violin, which she co-wrote with Indian American composer Reena Esmail to explore the elements of earth, water, fire, air, and sky.

Joining Teave and Ramnath is GRAMMY Award-winner and American soprano Renée Fleming, who brings her 2021 album Voice of Nature: The Anthropocene to life on-stage with the NAC Orchestra. Complemented by imagery specially curated by the National Geographic Society, Fleming’s performance includes her haunting rendition of “Twilight and Shadow,” from The Lord of the Rings as well as music from Björk, and the late, great Burt Bacharach.
