On foot, using a wheelchair, with a stroller or via public transit:
We recommend using the accessible entrance on Elgin Street. The Canal Lobby entrance, the Parking 2 vestibule, and the Parking 3 vestibule are also accessible.
Accessible parking areas are reserved for visitors with mobility issues who come to the NAC by car. Accessible parking is available on Parking 2 and Parking 3 levels near the elevators. For reference, Parking Level 2 has blue signage, and Parking Level 3 has red signage.
The accessible entrance for pick-up and drop-off at the NAC is the main entrance on Elgin Street. Para Transpo and taxi services should use the lay-by on Elgin Street. As an alternative, the Canal entrance off Lawrence Freiman Lane that starts at the corner of Queen and Elgin may also be used.
Seating is available in every performance venue for patrons in wheelchairs, as well as for the visually impaired, and their companions. Accessible seating may be purchased online, in person or by calling the NAC Box Office at 1-844-985-2787 (ARTS).
Should you require special assistance on the night of the show, please ask any member of our service teams, and they will be happy to help.
All NAC public spaces and event spaces are wheelchair accessible.
All public washrooms are wheelchair accessible, and some have bariatric stalls and baby change areas. Universal and companion care washrooms, including one with an electronic lift, are located at the Orchestra Level of Southam Hall.
The NAC uses the BOSCH Integrus System, an infrared transmission system, for all our performance venues. The system accommodates T-coil broadcasts by using an infrared receiver with a special induction loop neckband that plugs into the receiver. The neckband is worn around the neck, creating an individual teleloop for the wearer. A Cochlear Implant Patch Cord, as well as headsets for use without a hearing aid, are also available. All items are available free of charge from the Communications Centre, located near the Theatre Checkroom. Patrons are required to leave a piece of identification.
