As a faculty member of the Banff Centre Evolution: Quartet program, the NAC Free Rein residency program made it possible for me to work in person with Evolution: Quartet participant quartets. While the Banff Centre remained closed due to Covid, NAC support allowed me to secure studio space in New York City for coaching as well as performance spaces for livestream performances. I believe that being able to work in-person with several of the groups in Evolution: Quartet added a valuable means for us to physically connect around our Banff experience in a way that amplified the excellent components running concurrently online. Participants and faculty alike feel that Evolution: Quartet was a big success and I sincerely thank the NAC for supporting me in my role in the program.
