  Bruce Horak has created more than 20 works for the stage and has appeared in countless professional theatrical productions across Canada and the U.S. He can be seen as Hemmer, the blind alien engineer on Paramount+’s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. He has won numerous awards for his theatre work, and his visual art has been showcased at galleries across the country.

  Bruce Horak a créé plus de 20 œuvres pour la scène et a joué dans d’innombrables productions de théâtre professionnel au Canada et aux États-Unis. Il a campé le rôle de Hemmer, l’ingénieur extra-terrestre aveugle dans le film Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Paramount+). Il a remporté de nombreux prix pour son travail au théâtre, et ses œuvres visuelles ont été exposées aux quatre coins du Canada.

  Born and raised in Calgary, Ryan currently lives and works in Vancouver as an actor, producer, director, playwright, teacher and improvisor. Ryan holds an MFA in Directing (UBC) and a BFA in Acting (U of C), he also spent ten years studying Improvisation at Loose Moose Theatre under Keith Johnstone. Ryan is currently an adjunct Professor in Theatre at UBC as well as an instructor at Vancouver Film School. Ryan is the founder and Artistic Director of Monster Theatre where he has co-created over 40 original plays. 

  Originaire de Calgary, Ryan habite et travaille actuellement à Vancouver comme acteur, producteur, metteur en scène, dramaturge, enseignant et improvisateur. Il détient un baccalauréat en interprétation de l’Université de Calgary et une maîtrise en mise en scène de l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique (UBC). Il a étudié l’improvisation pendant dix ans au Loose Moose Theatre auprès de Keith Johnstone. Ryan est présentement professeur auxiliaire de théâtre à UBC et formateur à la Vancouver Film School. Il est le fondateur et directeur artistique du Monster Theatre, où il a cocréé plus de 40 pièces originales.
