With an evening concert to offer, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, superstar Canadian violinist James Ehnes, and Guest Conductor from Norway Arild Remmereit will combine to fill the hall with beautiful music based on observations of the North. James Ehnes’ violin is the “Marsick” Stradavarius of 1715. Come hear its passionate sound lift both orchestra and audience, in this concert celebrating the gifts of northern landscapes. A special composition by Canadian composer Alexina Louie, titled Take the Dog Sled will be performed, featuring throat singers Evie Mark and Akinisie Sivuaparik. Saturday, November 3, at 8 p.m. at the Yukon Arts Centre.
