Our January concert showcases two of the greatest composers of the twentieth century. The orchestra will perform the vibrant Dance Suite of Bartók and Shostakovich's obscure Symphony No. 6. Noted for its unusual structure, the Symphony consists of a long slow haunting Adagio, followed by two short and fast paced movements. This concert also features the Violin Concerto by Canadian composer Tim Brady, performed by guest soloist Robert Uchida.
