Glenn Gould’s CD 318 piano has been on display at the NAC since 2012 thanks to NAC donors Phil and Eli Taylor from Toronto. Glenn Gould discovered the piano in 1960 at the Eaton Auditorium in Toronto. It was love at first sight, describing his relationship with the piano as “a romance on three legs.” “It has the most translucent sound of any piano I ever played,” Gould said.
