I am overjoyed to have received such timely support from the NAC Free Rein artistic residency program. Following an exceedingly challenging season, being able to participate in the inaugural Banff Centre Evolution: Classical program has been a remarkable opportunity. I have received invaluable career advice, artistic guidance, and fostered meaningful connections with the illustrious program mentors. The program’s rich diversity and scope has validated my pursuits as a creative, and has inspired me to keep forging my own path as a violist. Meeting the other driven artists in similar stages of life has been affirming, and I am confident that these relationships will continue to illuminate my steps. I was able to workshop and compose some new music during the sessions, and credit the program’s lectures, small groups, and livestream performances for providing me with rejuvenated inspiration. In addition, being exposed to the unique advantages of digital performances and curations has been a revelation. I feel immense gratitude for the NAC, The Banff Centre, and the Gryphon Trio’s belief in my abilities, and cannot wait to take these thrilling experiences into a new chapter of my development. Notably, I am so thankful for the NAC's support in enabling me to deliver a professional livestream performance from the Array Music Studio in Toronto.
