On Thursday, May 11, the National Arts Centre Foundation celebrated a very special group of donors: those who have chosen to support the future of the performing arts by leaving a gift in their Will.
Members of that special group—the Emeritus Circle—enjoyed an afternoon tea before watching a performance, followed by a Q&A, by musicians taking part in the NAC Orchestra Mentorship Program.
By leaving a legacy gift to the NAC, thoughtful donors will inspire the creation of new compositions, plays and choreography. They will support the professional development of the next generation of artists. They will keep the magic of performance alive on Canada’s stages, and they will ensure that children will have the chance to enjoy what is so important to them in the years to come.
As Jayne Watson, CEO of the NAC Foundation, said, “Making a planned gift is an investment for tomorrow —for your family, friends and the artists and audiences of the future.”
Every planned gift to the NAC Foundation has an impact beyond the lifetime of the donor. Recent realized bequests to the NAC Foundation have included a gift to the National Youth and Education Trust to support performing arts education initiatives across the country, and an unrestricted gift toward the NAC’s highest priority needs.
Thank you to all who champion the future of the performing arts!
