Pinchas Zukerman and one of his favourite musical partners, Yefim Bronfman, get together for a recital of intimate chamber music repertoire. You’ll marvel at the expressive power of just two instruments—piano and violin or viola—in these works by three masters: Schubert’s enchanting Sonatina, composed when he was just 19 years old; Beethoven’s emotionally charged Sonata in the dramatic key of C minor; and Brahms’s consummately crafted Viola Sonata, first conceived as a clarinet sonata, but reimagined for the deep-throated voice of the viola.
