Dive into the art of Soundpainting! An interactive language of gestures that can create worlds of sound, movement, and images.

NOMAD  is a recuring artistic project at BIG BANG Festivals across Europe and here at the NAC. The concept? A simple yet extraordinary encounter between a professional artist and a group of local children.   

This year we welcome Ceren Oran, a multi-disciplinary artist, born in Istanbul and currently based in Germany. Ceren is well known for her creative Soundpainting projects with children from around the world. She is teamed up with a group of intermediate students from Alta Vista Public School. They will have one week to get to know each other, and for the students to learn the basics of this special sign language. We will then we get to see them create some magic on the spot as they put these skills to the test in real time at their festival performance.  

Will they sing? Will there be movement? Will there be any other surprises? You will have to come and see for yourself!
