Over the years, Miguel Graça has worked with many of the leading artists and companies in the industry. Winner of a Juno Award for Best Dance Recording, he has toured the world DJing and releasing various albums and singles for over four decades. In 2003, he founded Pronto Musique and, since 2009, runs it as a digital label. In 2012, he started a sister label Release The Pressure. Miguel aims to keep promoting local and international talent, exploring his artistic talents focusing on all aspects of audio and visual production to share common interests with common minded people.
Armel is a street dancer from Ottawa, ON, specializing in popping with a focus on animation. He has been honing his skills for 12 years. His journey into street dance began in 2011 as a breaker. In 2013, he transitioned to animation, concentrating on conditioning his dimestops and eventually incorporating roboting, ticking, and mixing slow motion with speed control.
When Armel moved to Montreal in 2015, he was introduced to popping and met poppers such as MonstaPop and Venom (currently known as Mystic Roots). Since then, he has been mentored by Mecdy Jean-Pierre, aka Mystic Roots, who he considers a brother and his best friend. Under Mystic Roots' guidance, Armel has grown as a dancer and artist.
Armel's experience in popping has led him to numerous competitions and group street dance gatherings, known as cyphers. These experiences have allowed him to connect with many artists, both in Canada and internationally. His journey in street dance is ongoing, and he is always eager to learn, exchange ideas, and teach others... He has been teaching at the Flava Factory in Ottawa since 2015.
For Capital Sessions, he will be sharing some of his vision of dance with us as it applies to the house club!
