In this in-person workshop you will learn how to make a beaded pin for Orange Shirt Day which takes place on September 30. This workshop provides the opportunity to learn more about an Indigenous art form while learning the importance of Orange Shirt Day.
Suitable for beginner beaders and experienced beaders alike, ages 16 and up. Basic sewing experience recommended.
The times listed are in Eastern Standard Time (EDT). This workshop consists of two in-person sessions, Wednesday September 21 and 28, 2022.

About the instructor:
Mairi Brascoupe (Algonquin Anishinabeg) is the Indigenous Cultural Resident for Indigenous Theatre at the National Arts Centre. Mairi is an experienced beader, with beadwork being a key part of her multidisciplinary artistic practice.
