Hoop dance with Allex Wells
Join us on Thursday May 13 at 12:00pm EST for Powwow Workout Class, led by Allex Wells!
In this Powwow Workout, Allex Wells (Sisqua7) will teach traditional hoop dance steps using two hoops. You will need to build your own hoops to use in this class – details below!
Powwow Workout events will be available to watch on Indigenous Theatre's Facebook page. Each video will stay available to watch online until 2:00pm EST on the following Saturday.
Powwow Workout Classes are open to all people - Indigenous and non-Indigenous.
About Allex Wells:
Allex Wells is an internationally award-winning Hoop Dance Champion from Mount Currie, British Columbia. Alex is a member of the St'át'imc Lil’Wat tribe, and was brought up through cultural ceremonies, including Hoop dance, which is a healing Medicine Dance, also known as a “Creation of Life dance”.
