Taking their name from the word for heart or soul in the Afro-Cuban religion of Santeria, OKAN leaders Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne fuse their Afro-Cuban roots with jazz, folk and global rhythms in songs about immigration, bravery and love.
