Jenny Whiteley is a true gem of the Canadian folk scene. With striking vocals and evocative songwriting, critics have compared her to legends like Emmy Lou Harris and Lucinda Williams, raving that she “swings effortlessly from black-hearted back-porch Americana to Laurel Canyon country” (No Depression).
Her debut and sophomore albums won the JUNO Award for Roots/Traditional Album of Year in 2000 and 2003, respectively. She has co-written with many of the country’s greats like Colin Linden and Fred Eaglesmith, and lent her voice to recordings by Sarah Harmer, and countless others.
