Hillsburn had a big year in 2016, releasing their debut full-length album, In The Battle Years, and winning a Canadian Folk Music Award for “New/Emerging Artist of the Year” and an East Coast Music Award for “Fans’ Choice Video of the Year.” The Halifax-based quintet plans to unveil a follow-up album in 2017 and will be touring across the country this spring and summer with performances at venues and festivals from coast to coast, including performances at the Vancouver Folk Festival and the PEI Jazz and Blues Festival.
Devarrow is the moniker of Graham Ereaux, a singer-songwriter who blends simple folk with sophisticated pop to create music which reflects an isolated upbringing in Moncton, New Brunswick and a subsequent half decade of traveling. In 2015, Devarrow self-released The Great Escape, a collection of eleven songs written in a leaky-roofed apartment while living in Vancouver for a winter. Gaining recognition in the maritimes - including an ECMA nomination - Devarrow moved back East to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he now resides.

There is no charge to be in the Fourth Stage between 6:30 and 8:00 pm on Fridays.
