The sound of Bellflower, led by singer-songwriter Em Pompa, is one that is rare, rich and powerful. Driven by the soul and ingenuity of eight musicians, it conveys a sense of soft vastness that absorbs the listener, of quiet strength born of an enduring union.
After releasing its first album The Lotus Factor in 2013 and a “live in studio” video on their song Cyclone Waltz in 2014, the band went on to perform at various festivals, notably at Vue sur la relève – where it received no less than 12 “Coups de pouce” prizes – and at the prestigious Mundial Montreal in 2015.
Hot on the heels of this success, they released their second album The Season Spell in March 2016.
In the last months, BELLFLOWER performed on many prestigious scenes such as, among others, Montreal International Jazz Festival (QC), Festival d’été de Québec (QC), St-Jérôme Folk Festival (QC), Filberg Festival (BC), Hornby Island Music Fest (BC).
Tickets are available at the NAC Box Office until 6:30 pm the day of the show.
