Ottawa (Canada) — The National Arts Centre will be inducted into the CHEO Foundation’s “Order of the Good Bear” at a reception on Thursday, January 24, 2013. The Order of the Good Bear pays tribute to community members who have chosen to make a difference in the lives of CHEO’s children and youth through incredible volunteer efforts and fundraising initiatives.

 The National Arts Centre has been a multi-year partner in CHEO’s Dream of a Lifetime Lottery, donating tickets to NAC performances as prizes. CHEO is also one of many community partners in the NAC’s Share the Spirit program which is sponsored by Sun Life Financial. Share the Spirit gives free tickets to those in our community who, for economic or health reasons, may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy live performances at the National Arts Centre during the holiday season and throughout the year.
