Robinson returns to the NAC stage October 28 to 30, 2010 with an ensemble of passionate performers, live music and song

Ottawa native and exceptional dancer-choreographer Tedd Robinson brings R3 to the NAC Studio October 28 to 30, 2010.

Witty, inquisitive and enduringly innovative, NAC Associate Dance Artist Tedd Robinson is an established choreographer, educator and solo artist. Robinson’s critically acclaimed, award-winning and utterly unique works have won him a multitude of commissions and an international schedule of touring and teaching.

Since 2007, Robinson has shifted some attention from full length solo work to creating work for other dancers in the enchanting atmosphere of his converted barn (La B.A.R.N.) in the beautiful Pontiac Region.  Each summer, a new group of remarkable performers work and live in residence at La B.A.R.N. to create and perform in Robinson’s choreographies.  R3 is an evolution of the piece Dichterliebe: A Poet’s Love created at La B.A.R.N. in the summer of 2010 to Schumann’s song cycle.

R3 combines past solo favourites with new creation and is an exclusive engagement of this NAC co-production. The evening includes excerpts from Rokudo (1996) and Relic (2009) along with a new solo piece all threaded together with an ensemble of performers, live music and song.
