Lesley Boulanger AKA Boogey The Beat is an Anishinaabe DJ and Producer from Winnipeg, Canada who blends traditional Indigenous rhythms with modern electronic beats. His DJing skills have landed him on stages for the Indspire Awards, Canada Day 150 Main Stage in Ottawa, National Aboriginal Day LIVE presented by APTN, and multiple festivals across Turtle Island.
His most recent release sees him featured on A Tribe Called Red’s track titled "Land Back". His latest single, “The Sage Is On Fire”, features Snotty Nose Rez Kids and it reached number 1 on the National Indigenous Music Countdown, making it his third single to reach the top of the chart.
Lesley Boulanger, alias « Boogey The Beat », est un platiniste et producteur anishnaabe de Winnipeg qui réunit rythmes traditionnels autochtones et musique électronique actuelle. Il s’est produit comme DJ aux Prix Indspire, à la fête du Canada 2017 (scène principale), au spectacle de la Journée nationale des peuples autochtones diffusé sur le réseau APTN et dans plusieurs festivals partout sur l’île de la Tortue.
Boulanger a récemment collaboré à la chanson « Land Back » de la formation A Tribe Called Red. Intitulé « The Sage Is On Fire » et mettant en vedette Snotty Nose Rez Kids, son plus récent simple s’est hissé au sommet du palmarès national de musique autochtone. C’est la troisième fois que l’une de ses créations obtient un tel succès.
