In February 2020, excitement was in the air as the BIG BANG Festival returned to the NAC, taking over the building with children and families exploring the fascinating world of music, sound and the arts.
This one-of-a-kind festival included imaginative installations, workshops and performances, including a one-of-a-kind sonic experience inside a mysterious container on the loading dock!
Mélanie Dumont, BIG BANG Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director, Youth Programming for NAC French Theatre shared:
“What a joy it was to see such an enthusiastic crowd here at the NAC, eager for all sorts of sonic discoveries! The BIG BANG festival thrilled thousands of curious ears, who were swept up by the original, innovative and interactive opportunities offered by many adventurous artists from here, there and everywhere.”
This unique, multi-disciplinary event attracted over 9,500 children and families to the NAC where they enjoyed a host of free and low-cost performances, thanks to donors like you.
