You know them, you love them, and you may have sung your heart out with them over the years. Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman, aka Choir! Choir! Choir!, will have performed at NAC’s Southam Hall seven times by this December! Their shows are full of charm, laughter and a bit of sass. The choir is structured as an open participation group where anybody who wants to attend is welcome to perform as part of the choir. They have brought together thousands of people to sing along and celebrate some favourite classics in harmony.
Where did it all begin for Nobu and Daveed?
Back in February, they explained in a CBC interview that it all started at a friend’s real estate office party and since then they have performed with musical legends like David Byrne, Rick Astley and so many more.
Building their audience week after week in Toronto with a weekly drop-in singing event, they didn’t have a plan, but they knew something special was brewing. While they’ve never been in a choir themselves, weeks and years of developing their performances earned them sold out shows in Canada and internationally. It’s an event that defines how music matters to people and how much joy people can feel from singing together.
