Résidence en gestion culturelle: A professional development exchange between the National Arts Centre (NAC) and the members of the Féderation culturelle canadienne-française (FCCF) network

The National Arts Centre, in partnership with the Fédération culturelle canadienne-française (FCCF), is pleased to announce a professional development opportunity for emerging and mid-career professionals working in the administration and management of Canada’s French-language performing arts.
The residency will take place from November 12 to 16, 2024, at the NAC in Ottawa, Ontario.*
*There is no application or participation fee. Transportation, accommodation and per diem will be provided by the NAC.
About the Résidence
Résidence en gestion culturelle allows arts administrators who wish to diversify, deepen or refine their practice and expand their professional network to interact with other visiting artists and share knowledge and skills with various NAC departments. Residency participants will:
- Participate in expert exchanges on key topics such as human resources, fundraising, and financial management.
- Interact with NAC professionals and funders to share experiences and develop sustainable networks.
- Integrate equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) principles into professional practices.
- Explore innovative strategies to attract and retain diverse audiences and make cultural initiatives more accessible.
- Adopt environmentally responsible practices in artistic projects and raise public awareness of environmental issues.
- Address mental and physical health issues faced by the artistic community.
Eligibility criteria
- You are a Francophone administrator or manager working in the performing arts;
- You are a member of the Féderation culturelle canadienne-française (FCCF) or a member of an FCCF member association;
- You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Your professional residence is in a Canadian province or territory other than Quebec.

Complete the application form and submit it no later than September 6, 2024. The application form is available only in French.
