It’s not just a logo, it’s true. I really do love culture. I love the way that arts and culture activities enrich my life whether it’s a thought-provoking dance performance, an artwork that challenges my assumptions or beliefs or play that is simply truly entertaining. I couldn’t picture my life without culture.
That’s why I love Culture Days—an amazing chance to try participating in a cultural activity when arts organizations from across the country throw open their doors and invite people in to try something out. This coming weekend all over Canada you’ll have the chance to paint, dance, throw a piece of pottery, write a poem, improvise a scene, knit, sing, play an instrument and just generally have fun with culture.
This year I am going to try something new that I’ve never done before—a dance class. I’m excited and nervous and worried that I’ll be terrible. But I’m pretty sure that whatever happens my life will be richer for the experience.
