Canailles share an infectious anarchy

We’re delighted that Canailles, whose sound is rooted in bluegrass, folk and Cajun, is part of NAC Presents, our all-Canadian concert series that showcases legendary Canadian performers and the icons of tomorrow.

Canailles has performed for all ages, from children to seniors. Here’s how they describe their new album Ronds-Points: “ Creoles line-dancing in 30-degree heat under a midwinter sun on the shore of a volcanic island in the middle of the Indian Ocean.”

In advance of their NAC Presents gig, Canailles members Erik Evans, Daphnée Brissette and Dan Tremblay stopped by Ottawa’s Zak’s Diner to jam, drink milkshakes, and talk about Ronds-Points.

Canailles performs at the NAC Fourth Stage on May 22nd.
