This past summer the NAC’s stages and spaces came alive with shows for every type of audience. Canada’s diverse communities saw themselves represented through blockbuster musicals, one-person plays, dance troupes, and music from all corners of the country. With more than 200 shows, there was something on offer for everyone at Canada’s NAC.
And, thanks to your generous support, we offered plenty of accessible programming with free performances and an $8 play series. One happy audience member shared “The NAC provided a very welcoming, inclusive space for our family to experience live events again. We appreciate the NAC considering cost barriers and making events truly accessible to all.”
Artists were equally thrilled to return to live performance. Canadian soprano Jonelle Sills, who performed a free lunchtime concert in the Atrium O’Brien and with the NAC Orchestra in Southam Hall said,
“My summer with NACO was truly a dream and I am grateful to the enthusiastic audiences that I have missed interacting with over the last couple of years. I am grateful for the way NACO has been a part of the beginning of my career and given me a platform to share my heart with their audiences.”
Thank you for helping us to welcome artists and audiences from all backgrounds to the NAC for a performance-filled summer.
