Scrooge has Delivered a Holiday to Remember!
Two More Performances Added – December 18 & December 27
Tickets on SAle Wednesday, December 7!

December 5, 2016 – OTTAWA (Canada) – “I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.” Ebenezer Scrooge

With tickets selling at a brisk pace this holiday season, NAC English Theatre is proud to announce two more performances have been added for the holiday production of A Christmas Carol!

The two extra dates are scheduled for Sunday, December 18 at 7:30 pm and Tuesday, December 27 at 2 pm.

In addition, as the NAC is continually striving to make theatre accessible to all audiences, including the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, the December 18 performance will be an additional A.S.L. interpretation performance.

When Director Jillian Keiley and Set and Costume Designer Bretta Gerecke they wanted to tap into a common nostalgia about the story while at the same time engaging the audience in a fresh experience of the story – one at the intersection of memory and imagination.

A Christmas Carol remains a powerful moral allegory about the importance of goodwill and generosity in a time of economic hardship and poverty. Over the course of the night, Scrooge witnesses the power of charity, and is warned of the dangers of a society where money is valued above family, friendship, and community.

Tickets for the added performances go on sale Wednesday, December 7 at 10 a.m.

A Christmas Carol, featuring Andy Jones as Scrooge, plays December 13 - 31 in the Theatre at the National Arts Centre.
