About Ronald McDonald House Charities Ottawa:
Located just 167 steps from CHEO, our 14-bedroom House is open to families who live too far to commute to the hospital while their child is receiving treatment. For 40 years, RMHC Ottawa has been a lifeline to families during some of the most challenging times of their lives. We offer private suites, a shared family kitchen, TV rooms, weekly volunteer-made meals, snacks, free parking, laundry facilities, pet therapy, and so much more.
We strive to provide a warm, quiet, comfortable ‘home away from home’ experience to parents, grandparents, guardians, and siblings. We ask only $10 a night to stay here, though our operational costs exceed $150 per night. Most of these operational funds come directly from community donations and support. Construction for the expansion of RMHC Ottawa to 36 suites is currently underway.
We are thankful for the support from the Great Canadian Caravan Comedy Show. Please note that the opinions expressed are not a reflection of the mission and values of Ronald McDonald House Charities Ottawa.
