With successful releases like “Várias Queixas” and “Devagarinho,” the band's debut album Pra Gente Acordar has garnered attention, earning a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese Language. The trio, after participating in major festivals across Brazil, recently graced the Sunset Stage at Rock In Rio alongside Jorge Aragão, captivating an audience of over 100,000 people. Excitingly, they are confirmed for the Lollapalooza Brazil 2023 lineup.

What is MPB?

MPB stands for “Música Popular Brasileira,” which translates to “Brazilian Popular Music” in English. It is a genre that encompasses a broad spectrum of Brazilian music styles, including bossa nova, samba, tropicália, and other popular music genres. MPB emerged in the 1960s and has been a significant cultural and musical movement in Brazil, blending traditional Brazilian rhythms with modern influences and often incorporating socially and politically charged lyrics. Artists like Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Elis Regina, and Tom Jobim are associated with the MPB genre.
