NAC Hip Hop Theatre Festival
Focused on bringing hip hop into the classroom as a teachable tool, the Hip Hop Headucatorz are a collective of DJs, producers, emcees, breakers and graffiti artists who develop ready-to-use resources for teachers. As professional educators themselves, they know how hip hop reaches and inspires students. As part of the NAC's Hip Hop Theatre Festival, this panel discussion will explore how hip hop’s 50-year history and ever-shifting culture can connect with, inspire, and motivate students of all ages.
This panel will be livestreamed to zoom, with opportunities to participate in a Q&A. Following the discussion, there will also be an interactive virtual social event for online participants to facilitate connections and explore possible collaborations among fellow educators and hip hop artists.
The panel and social event are being offered both in-person at the NAC and livestreamed over zoom. This event is free, but registration is required.
