  To encapsulate the career of Montreal-based harpist Sarah Pagé, one would have to draw long, constellation-like shapes across genres, borders and histories. While perhaps best known as a founding and longtime member of roots rockers The Barr Brothers, a brief consideration of her resume reveals the fact that she’s equally at home within traditions as without them. Her first two solo LPs, Dose Curves and Voda, affirm this versatility and reveal Pagé as one of Canada’s most accomplished experimentalists.

Comme en témoigne son impressionnant CV, elle maîtrise les codes de la musique autant qu’elle les transgresse. Pour s’en convaincre, il suffit de prêter une oreille attentive à ses deux premiers microalbums solos, Dose Curves et Voda, qui confirment la polyvalence de l’une des plus grandes musiciennes expérimentales du Canada.

  Nick Schofield is a Gatineau-based musician, producer and self-proclaimed ambassador of ambient music. Nick’s new album Ambient Ensemble features distant piano, vintage synths and faded orchestral arrangements resounding in spacious natural reverb. Where his previous two albums (Water Sine, Glass Gallery) were entirely solo endeavours and synth-focused, Ambient Ensemble marks a shift towards acoustic instrumentation with accompanists.    In concert, Nick is developing a new performance that merges his love of ambient music with the energy of emotional dance music.

  Nick Schofield est un musicien et producteur originaire de Gatineau. Celui qui se présente comme un ambassadeur de la musique d’ambiance s’apprête à sortir un nouvel album, Ambient Ensemble, où se fondent nappes lointaines de piano, synthétiseurs d’époque et arrangements orchestraux défraîchis portés par une réverbération naturelle. Avec Ambient Ensemble, Nick Schofield délaisse les sonorités électros omniprésentes sur ses deux précédents albums réalisés en solo (Water Sine et Glass Gallery) au profit d’instruments acoustiques et de collaborations artistiques. Sur scène, il se plait à mélanger musique d’ambiance – qu’il affectionne tant – et rythmes plus dansants et énergiques.

  Featuring Charbonneau/Amato

  Charbonneau/Amato is a modular synth, a Farfisa, drum machines and a couple mono synths. It's the project of Mathieu Charbonneau (Avec pas d'casque, Organ Mood, Ferriswheel) and Pietro Amato (The Luyas, Bell Orchestre). The Montreal duo has released two records, Synth Works Vol.1 & 2, and recently worked on scoring a documentary on Burning Man Festival.

  Charbonneau/Amato, ce sont un synthétiseur modulaire, un Farfisa, des boîtes à rythmes et quelques synthétiseurs mono. Derrière ce nom de scène se cachent Mathieu Charbonneau (Avec pas d'casque, Organ Mood, Ferriswheel) et Pietro Amato (The Luyas, Bell Orchestre). Le duo montréalais est l’auteur de deux albums, Synth Works Vol.1 et Synth Works Vol. 2, et de la bande originale d’un documentaire sur le Festival Burning Man.
