Vibrant, haunting, trailblazing—Cheng² Duo's fourth and newest album, Portrait (out on Centrediscs October 27, 2023), is their most personal record yet. Paying tribute to their multicultural roots as Canadians (Ottawa natives) born to Chinese parents, this bold collection comprises world-premiere recordings of works by composers of diverse Asian heritage, written for or arranged by the duo. 

This event will feature live performances of works from Portrait, as well as a Q&A discussion with commissioned composer Dinuk Wijeratne. Admission includes one signed copy of the album and one complimentary beverage.
