Vancouver based singer-songwriter, Loig Morin will release the seventh album of his career on April 9th, 2021.
After having worked with Chris Potter (Sarah McLachlan, Rufus Wainwright, Diana Krall), Loig decided for the first time in his career to guide his project entirely by himself, ensuring the production, recording and mixing. Maude G.L. can be heard throughout the album, as well as the participation of Jill Barber for a duet on the first single "Romanche à l’italienne".
Printemps was recorded, produced, and mixed at Le Loig’s Music Lab, the home studio Loig conceived and built after relocating from his home in Brittany, France to Vancouver in 2010. Moving his entire family and arriving with next to nothing, and not speaking a word of English, Loig realized his dream through drive, perseverance, and becoming a familiar figure in the music community. Since arriving in Canada, Loig recorded three albums: Lonsdale (2012), La rivière (2018) and Citadelle (2019) at his home studio. Citadelle garnering two Gala Trille Or 2021 nominations for Best Direction and Arrangements as well as Best Sound Recording and Mixing.
