Kinderconcert Series
Suggested for 3-5 years old
Find your groove as Colores Andinos (Andean Colours) brings Latin-Andean fusion to life in this energetic and authentic concert featuring more than 20 instruments – from bamboo flutes to string and percussion instruments and everything in between!
Evoking the mysteries of the Andes, Central America, and the Caribbean Islands, Colores Andinos blends Native-Andean rhythms and contemporary influences such as salsa, bossa-nova, and jazz to create a genuine panorama of the past and present of Latin American culture – a mix that could only truly happen in Canada.
Presented in association with MASC.
This concert is part of the KinderConcert series. The performances are approximately 40 minutes in length and are held in the NAC’s Azrieli Studio. There are no reserved seats, so you can choose where you want to sit when you arrive, and children are encouraged to sit on comfy mats at the front of the hall! Kinderconcerts are interactive – you will clap, dance, sing and of course learn a lot about music along the way!
Come early!
Join us for 30 minutes prior to each concert for free activities presented by Ottawa Suzuki Strings and Music for Young Children!
