Ottawa native John Aaron Cockburn leads a revolving door musical collective sometimes referred to as Little Suns. He is nephew and collaborator to famed Canadian folk music icon Bruce Cockburn. His work is a process of constant evolution and exploration, intertwining the challenges of human existence with creative self-expression and interpersonal dynamics. John Aaron’s evocative lyricism as well as his rhythmic and melodic inventiveness is complemented wholly by a wide variety of collaborators whose origins span the entire world. Listeners should expect to experience a range and depth of emotions and sentiments, to be simultaneously uplifted and reminded of the work that’s left to be done.
Tickets are available at the NAC Box Office until 6:30 pm the day of the show. Doors open for the show at 6:30 and all are welcome to hang out in the Fourth Stage until 8:00 pm on Fridays. If you’ve been in the Fourth Stage without at ticket on a Friday and decide to stay for the show, a cover charge is applicable: $15 for adults, $10 for students.
