“These dancers’ gorgeous and glorious movement is all loose limbs and soaring extensions that sweep in high arcs over one another’s heads.” Helena Alonso Paisley, ArtBurst Miami, 2017

The Havana-based Malpaso – Cuba’s first independent dance company – has grown to become one of the most internationally sought-after in its short five-year history. For its NAC debut, it’s bringing a mix of the soulful, the sexy and the sensational. The beautiful duet Ocaso by resident choreographer and Artistic Director Osnel Delgado and Ohad Naharin’s Tabula Rasa perfectly complement a program that includes commissioned works by two in-demand female creators: Indomitable Waltz by Canadian Aszure Barton and Face the Torrent by the Emmy-award winning New Yorker Sonya Tayeh.
