Caracol (a.k.a. Carole Facal) successfully launched her musical career as a member of the Dobacaracol duo. With Dobacaracol, she recorded Soley, an album that went gold in Canada with sales of 70,000 copies (more than 100,000 worldwide) and garnered the Félix for World Music Album of the Year at the Quebec music industry’s ADISQ awards in 2005. Even more impressive, however, was the duo’s performances on tour: 425 shows in 16 countries (including Canada, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, United States, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Mexico).

In fall 2008, Caracol branched out on her own with her first album L’arbre aux parfums. In 2009, the singer-songwriter set her sights beyond Quebec with impressive performances in Nashville, Austin (South by Southwest) and Toronto (Canadian Music Week), as well as in New Brunswick, British Columbia and Alberta.

In fall 2011, Caracol returned to the studio to make her second album Blanc mercredi which was very positively reviewed by music critics and earned her a second nomination as Francophone songwriter of the year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2012.
