Step into an intimate, immersive, inventive world in this project created by tomorrow’s talent - young, francophone students in the Cinema and Dance Concentration programs at De La Salle High School.  Three new choreographies by the young dance artists are captured in short films that shine fascinating light on the important ways in which movement and images figure in the lives of adolescents.

The films are presented in a one-person viewing booth, allowing for a very personal experience.  Before leaving, spectators are invited to share their thoughts in chalk on the walls of the booth.  At the end of the festival, these comments and drawings will be photographed on 35mm film as a visual history of the installation at the Canada Dance Festival.

Experience the Cinema in a Box in advance of and following performances at La Nouvelle Scène.

Presented by the Artistic Excellence Centre of the École secondaire publique De la Salle, Public School Board of Eastern Ontario.

The project has been led and supervised by Nicole Blundell and Erika Mills.
