Ages 6 and up
SHE has only one hand. HE has only one foot. Together they are complete, because things often come in pairs. One day, BRAINWAVE! SHE and HE decide to open a brand new factory and make spare limbs for all who need them: feet (itchy, light or cold!), hands (suitable for waving, shaking or wringing!), noses (to poke outside, put out of joint or—why not?—stick in the middle of your face!), ears (tin, with perfect pitch or to the ground!). As payment, SHE and HE accept flowers, which doesn’t go over too well with the INSPECTOR—of health and safety, but mostly of profitability.

First, Martin Bellemare wrote a script full of poetry and imagination, and sprinkled it with dreams. Then, director Marie-Eve Huot did some fieldwork by visiting a school and talking with the children about their relationship to their bodies and their thoughts about difference. And finally, they created a unique theatre experience, interweaving light and shadow, manipulating objects of all kinds, and juggling language in a show that thumbs its nose at convention and gives a leg up to fantasy and fun!
