Tai Amy Grauman

Tai Amy Grauman is Métis Cree from Ardrossan, Alberta. She is an actor, playwright, director and producer. Tai recently founded the Marie Collective along with Brittany Ryan and recently completed her thesis for her MFA in theatre practice at the U of A, focusing on her artistic research of ‘Metis women’s love stories.’ This past summer, Savage Productions Society produced an extensive rural tour of her play You Used to Call Me Marie... which went to rural Metis communities all over Alberta and Saskatchewan and Back to Batoche Days and Metis Crossing. Currently, Tai is adapting Romeo and Juliet: A Metis Love Story as well as adapting her play You Used to Call Me Marie… into a limited film series. Recent credits include Mary’s Wedding, A Metis Love Story (Citadel Theatre); Assistant Director for Little Red Warrior and His Lawyer (The Belfry and Savage Productions Society); and writer, co-director, producer and actor for the Alberta and Saskatchewan tour of You Used to Call Me Marie... (Savage Productions Society).
