Reena Bhatt

Reena Bhatt is Senior Director, Alchemy Capital Planning, LLC. She advises companies on their cross-border business and tax issues, specializing in international tax planning. Her practice has focused on issues facing start-up and growth stage companies dealing with complex issues including digital data, the cloud and software as a service. Prior to joining Alchemy, Reena was the Global Tax Director of a global, multi-billion-dollar technology and media company. And prior to that, she was an International Tax Partner in Ernst and Young’s New York City office. Reena started her legal career in Ottawa, Canada first in private practice and then as Chief of Staff and senior legal and political advisor to the Mayor of Ottawa.

She is an adjunct professor of International Tax at NYU’s School of Law and previously was a ‘January Term’ professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario. Reena serves a member of the board of directors and executive committee for the Canadian Association of New York and its charitable foundation.

Reena received a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University (Canada), a LLB from the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and a LLM in International Taxation from New York University. 

Reena lives in New York City. She joined the NAC Foundation Board of Directors in 2017.
