Melisha Linnell

Melisha has been a music producer and studio owner for 20 years. Her studio is located in Brewhouse Gothenburg and has a mix of analog and digital recording equipment.

Melisha’s main performance instruments are piano, guitar, vocals, cello and drums and she has worked as a pianobar-artist and a renowned DJ and started writing and producing songs at a very young age. Music production has always been a passion and although she has wanted to give up so many times, because of the never ending inequality and sexism that she encountered over the years, her love for music creation always prevailed and kept her going.

In 2005, Melisha started mixing and mastering music and in conjunction began teaching as well – which lead her to become a guest educator teaching music production, mixing and mastering at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg.

In 2017, Melisha co-founded a non-profit organization EQLovesMusic to highlight the issue of gender inequality in music production and ever since has been working very hard to lift and help female producers.
